From Extreme to Mainstream
The popularity of extreme or adventure sports is rising faster than we could have ever imagined!
Most recently Nitro Circus team FMX rider Josh Sheehan made history (29 April 2015), when he took the profession of progression, one massive leap further and stomped a trick that not only has never been tried before, but has always simply seemed beyond the realms of human possibility – the Moto triple backflip.
And recently British snowboarder Billy Morgan stuck a quad cork (spinning 1800 degrees) – that’s a full five complete rotations on his snowboard.
Among Generation X there has been a shift towards individualism, being different and enhanced senses of personality which has contributed to the increasing popularity of action and adventure sports.
Generation Y, the younger generations, are really connecting to extreme sports and lifestyle sports, such as skateboarding, BMX, Surfing and kiteboarding. It is now time to inspire the next generation of kids to reach their personal / professional goals.
